Hoochie Coochie Kabaret only takes place a few times a year in Bristol. However if you are having an hen, stag, birthday or other type of party you can now have your own private Hoochie Coochie dinner show in the beautiful Wardrobe theatre. The Wardrobe theatre is a beautiful miniature theatre above the White Bear in Cotham, Bristol.

Hoochie Coochie can supply you with a top circus or burlesque artist from our troupe of performers. They will perform two acts for you in the theatre, and the space will be exclusively for your group. The theatre has a magical ambiance, it is full of beautiful and quirky old antique decorations. This combined with fabulous entertainment will make your evening truly unforgettable.

The theatre is available on Saturdays, and sometimes other evenings.

The cost of artist hire is £300 for two performances
There must be a minimum of twenty people dining from the fantastic but reasonably priced pub menu to secure room hire.

Keda Breeze – An icon of the performance world, internationally renowned for her explosive circus, burlesque and variety acts, a creator of visually stunning performance art and a forerunner of the British cabaret scene.

The Art Tart

Countess ArseUppi – is Interpol’s most wanted émigré. Forced to leave her old country and the safe bosoms of the hairless women of the Immac Mountains she has wandered all over Europe marrying several times along the way and winning and losing many fortunes. Her tales will delight and dismay all in the same breath

The Bureau of Random Acts brings a fresh approach to the art of cabaret. Artistic director Paul Clayden has been a performer since 1980 working with dance and physical theatre companies such as DV8, Motionhouse and Second Stride. He has taught extensively around the world

Violet Vayne – Is Hoochie’s newcomer, Violet’s burlesque style is cheeky, fun and fresh – mixing classic imagery with a fun twist, Violet is full of energy and sparkle.

Al Tourettes – Is a world renowned underground electronic dj and producer, and his music has even been used in the film Black Swan. For Hoochie Coochie he drops the electronic and plays a very special party set

The Dirty Circus Disco
Before and after the cabaret, party at the Dirty Circus Disco, “a magical underworld of circus and sin” with art installations, live snakes, bombastic go go dancers and roaming circus acts and a live PA from defunct social club singer Lady Waa Waa. Those who are feeling sinful can confess all at the Sisters of Sin Confessional Booth. To enter into the circus spirit be transformed at the free face painting booth with glitter glamour or traditional circus face paint. And finally be immortalised in ink by The Art Tart.

DJ’s for the evening are Charlie Mega and Mike Savage from the legendary World of Cheese

Fancy Chance
Hilarious, glamorous, and exuberantly irreverent, the diminutive Fancy Chance is the undisputed comic spectacle of the UK burlesque/variety/vaudeville circuit and the best tassel twirler east of the Atlantic. Fancy holds prestigious performance titles. She is the current reigning Alternative Miss World and also the title holder of London’s Next Top Tranny which she won for her drag king performance as Prince. At Hoochie Coochie she will be performing her price act alongside one of her signature burlesque numbers.

Keda Breeze
Hoochie Coochie’s creator Keda Breeze is an icon of the performance world and circus burlesque bombshell. Keda will be performing her statuesque Moonlight Fire Show. Keda will also be performing the latest in her series of “exotic performance art” acts. Hold on to your seats, this show is not for the faint hearted ladies and gentlemen.

Matt Pang
Mat Pang is one our favourite circus and variety artists. He has an impressive repertoire of European performances under his belt and always brings the house down at Hoochie. Not for the faint hearted, Matt will be performing Anytime Now, an act full of skill, comedy and danger! Being securely strapped into a Strait Jacket and then attempting to escape is no mean feat by itself, deciding to take this one step further, Matt does this stunt whilst precariously trying to balance on a Unicycle at the same time!

Christopher Anaspitos
The show is hosted the one who time forgot, eccentric of gesture, body and mind. a well balanced fellow with moments of dillusional illusion the question might not be so much where is he from.. but when and what!

Nanny Dory
Nanny Dora takes the newcomers slot this month, but she is hardly a newcomer at all as she has A BA Honours in Drama and extensive theatre experience who has recently turned her hand to burlesque to rave reviews. Nanny Dora, the OAP alter ego of her creator is the self proclaimed grandmother of tease. Be warned, this geriatric is a sight to behold when gripped with desire!

If you would like to learn the art of burlesque for yourself there is no better opportunity than training with Hoochie Coochie creator and international  showgirl sensation Keda Breeze. Her next training day in Bristol takes place on Sunday the 23rd of October.

In this fun filled and inspirational workshop Keda Breeze teaches you everything you need to know to become a burlesque starlet. It is excellent training for those wishing to take to the stage, but also a great experience for those who just want to learn burlesque for their own confidence and enjoyment.

This workshop is taught in small groups with a highly supportive atmosphere and is suitable for everyone from complete beginners, to those with dance or performance experience.

You are highly likely to see a more sassy, sexy and confident side of yourself as well as having a whole lot of fun! The workshop teaches lots more than just dance moves and has a big emphasis on performance.

What is Covered in the Day
As much valuable information as possible is crammed into the day and too much is covered to list here, but expect the following:

Emulating iconic female gestures and mannerisms
How to hold yourself and walk like a showgirl
Classic burlesque dance movements that build into a burlesque routine
Pin up poses
Body conditioning
Striptease technique including glove peeling
Performance, stage craft and audience interaction.
Routine building such as what props, music, characters and narrative
Costuming and styling – how to create beautiful burlesque costumes on a budget
Tassel twirling (this is done in small groups)
Creating and performing your own burlesque performance (in small groups)

Keda Breeze has been performing burlesque since 2001 and has performed at countless high profile and prestigious events including sharing the stage with Dita Von Teese at Erotica, performing on live TV with Paul O Grady and entertaining various royalty and celebrities.

As well as being a highly experienced stage artist, Keda has extensive performance training in areas such as circus, various theatre and dance forms and choreography.

Hoochie Coochie has been asked to provide the entertainment for the Freshers Ball at UWE. On the 19th of September the lucky freshers will be treated to the likes of hula hoop sensation Miss Merlin, circus burlesque sensation Keda Breeze and the Art Tart who can only be described as “an unexpectedly alluring cocktail of Beryl Cooke, Rolf Harris, Marilyn Monroe”. What a baptism to life in Bristol!
